  Albert trained as an architect. He lived with his first wife, Florrie, at Petts Wood and then Brasted near Westerham, where he built his own bungalow on a plot of land in Brasted Chart. He also built a brick garage with attached coal stores for his brother at 9 Oaklands Way during WW2 to replace a wooden garage. The wooden garage was recycled as a chicken shed and became his nephew Brian’s rabbit breeding shed in the back garden. At one stage, he used to drive a Morgan three-wheeler car. After his divorce from Florrie, he married Joy and lived in Spain for a while, then emigrated to Canada.
